Just baffling, really…

I just found this out: – according to TuneCore, which distributes my music, the best performing song of them all is “Hirajōshi and Sky”. Well, all I can say is, I’m baffled. Of the 9 albums I’ve released so far, containing 79 songs, this is the one?

It is an Electronica instrumental of less than 3 minutes long, which I based on a few notes of artificial sounds generated on an experimental Google platform. It even sounds artificial. It has no hook. It has no lyrics. It does not have the traditional song arrangement. The most interesting thing about it, I guess, is the fact that I basically reworked “found sound'” into a composition. But why people would stream it so often, I have no idea. When I read the report all I could say was, w*f. Seriously?!

So, on this merry day in the month of June, I have to state that I don’t think I shall ever understand the music business.

Here is the little thing – be my guest; tell me why.
